November 1, 2026. The third and final phase of the 140th China Import and Export Fair, better known as the Canton Fair, opened in Guangzhou on Saturday, October 31, and runs until Wednesday, November 4. It brings together more than 12,000 exhibitors, according to China News Service, in toys and baby products, fashion, home textiles, stationery, and health and leisure goods.

Phase 3 at a glance

Figures reported by China News Service and the Guangzhou daily Xinkuaibao:

  • More than 12,000 exhibitors, over 3,100 of them rated by the fair as quality companies.
  • 515,000 square meters and 25,000 booths.
  • 21 zones in five sectors under the theme "美好生活" (better life).
  • A smart health zone with 46 companies and 168 booths.
  • A trade services zone with 256 providers, about 20 % more than the previous edition.

Xinkuaibao counts about 190 product launch events in this phase, around 15 % more new products, and roughly 20 % more launches from emerging industries such as service robots, smart health, smart manufacturing and new energy. The fair is livestreaming from November 1 to 3 for buyers who cannot travel.

What exhibitors are showing

In the toy halls, China News Service saw AI-powered products such as companion pets that talk back, and cited one company able to produce 100,000 pieces a day. Zhao Long, general manager of Fujian Besri, told the agency his company's exports to South America have grown, without giving figures. In the smart health zone, rehabilitation equipment makers such as Xi'an Weisu Intelligent Technology are targeting global demand for rehabilitation medicine.

Buyers also have an agenda: a UNICEF procurement presentation on November 2 and a delegation of women entrepreneurs from developing countries organized with UNCTAD on November 1, according to Xinkuaibao. Zhejiang is the guest province.

Turning the visit into orders

Our take: phase 3 is the natural place to plan next year's consumer ranges, from back-to-school to holiday stock, because toys, apparel, textiles and stationery suppliers are all in one place for a few days.

  • Toys and baby products face safety and labeling rules in almost every market. Ask the factory for its test reports and confirm the import requirements for your country before ordering.
  • Agree in writing on garment labels with fiber content and care instructions in your market's language.
  • Inspect quality, packaging and labels while the goods are still in China with a product inspection.

If you cannot travel, our product sourcing in China team can contact phase 3 exhibitors and compare quotes for you.
